Hi, nice to meet you – I’m Matt,
an international filmmaker based in London & Bristol.
After working in the corporate video sector for several years I knew it wasn’t right for me. I wanted to work on projects I was passionate about and that played their small role in helping improve things.
In the 2019 UK General Election, I was hired full time for the 6-week election campaign as a key filmmaker on Jeremy Corbyn’s team. I travelled the country following Corbyn everywhere – shooting and then editing (often on trains and on the move) wherever we went. After the GE2019 I moved my focus onto trade unions and left-wing MP’s.
One of my biggest clients is the NEU, but I’ve made films for the FBU, Peace and Justice Project, Unite, Zarah Sultana (shooting her election campaign video, helping her hold on to her seat during the last General Election), Dawn Butler and many others.
I’ve also worked with many green and political campaigners and movements, such as Led By Donkeys, Organise Now!, Green New Deal Rising and Extinction Rebellion, as well as charities such as PETA and Battersea Dogs Home. Collectively these films have had millions of views.
I’m driven to make films that have a positive influence on society, and strive to work creatively and, most importantly, ethically on content that matters.
I own a range of cameras, sound and lighting, so can be available at short notice, armed with the right kit for your film.
So, if you want to meet up for a coffee to discuss your project, please get in touch.
